
Anthony David Gonzalez was born in Torrance, California on February 27 the year 1976. He grew up in Southern California and attended Huntington Beach High School where He was a leading player on both football and basketball teams. Gonzalez excelled in these sports at the University of California. He helped lead the team in football to the 1996 Aloha Bowl, where he set a record for the school bowl by catching nine times. A few months later Gonzalez helped lead the basketball team to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA basketball tournament. After that, he left the school to enter the 1997 NFL Draft. Gonzalez was picked as the 13th overall choice by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was with the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. Gonzalez was transferred to the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez never caught less than 59 passes in Gonzalez's second NFL season.
